About Putnam Farmers' Market
The Putnam Farmers' Market (PFM) was established in 2009 to encourage local farmers to produce and sell their meats, vegetables and baked goods to the residents of Putnam County and the surrounding communities. All WV farmers within a fifty-mile radius of Winfield are encouraged to submit an application to the Putnam County Extension Office and be registered at the Putnam County Health Department. Producers from the PFM must verify (by sight inspection) that the food they sell at the Market is grown by them on their farm and document their farming system. Consumers are encouraged to visit our members' farms and discuss the farming practices with the producer.
