History and Mission
The Putnam Farmers’ Market was established in 2009 to help producers within a fifty-mile radius of Winfield, WV expand their marketing opportunities. By offering a local seasonal market, customers are able to have a direct contact with the producer and are assured of hours-old freshness of the season’s specialties. Through the dedication and cooperation of several agencies and an enthusiastic and energetic Board of Directors, the Putnam Farmers’ Market continues to build a reputation for high quality locally produced items. Market organizers are proud of their accomplishments in such a short period of time, bringing together a first-class selection of local farmers, homemade foods, culinary artisans and crafters.
